The following notice is to serve as a warning that my book, Defenders of the West: The Christian Heroes Who Stood against Islam, is being plagiarized and sold on Amazon.
The fake version was published on Aug. 3, 2022—one week after the release date of my official version (July 26). It appears under the author name of “Michael Johnson.” The cover of the book, which is identical to the cover of the real book, displays both this Johnson’s name, followed by my own, implying that it was co-written by us (see accompanying image).
For the record, I neither know this Johnson (if that is his real name), nor have I given him or anyone else permission to publish any part of Defenders of the West.
Johnson’s book is an outright act of plagiarism.
Moreover, it’s about half as long as the authorized version, and, based on the only (1 – star) review, its contents are a travesty.

A law suit seeking compensation for damages is the only solution for such violation. Good bless Raymond. Don’t let us go. Some attorneys make take your case pro bono.

The actual seller on Amazon is shown as “Books & More + Media”. I contacted the seller using Amazon’s seller contact link reached by clicking on the Sold By name. I also note that the book is being represented as “Used: Like New”. Indeed. More like “Scam: Caveat Emptor”. I’ll let you know if my message to the seller is replied to.
The listed seller on Amazon – “Books & More + Media” – did promptly respond to my contact. Amazon removed the links I included to the two book listings (real and pirated), so the seller requested the ISBN numbers, which I supplied. Will update again with any responses. I have tangled with Amazon before over bogus Android apps. They just do not seem in the least bit concerned about piracy.

Thank you for the quick response. I see AMZ strips out links, so I will write them in the annoying “address dot domain” format. The legitimate book’s ISBN-10 and ISBN-13 numbers are: 1642938203 and 978-1642938203. The pirated or plagiarized version is 979-8843857516. This is the one shown on Amazon as sold by you. A November 12th article by the real author about this plagiarism is found here, if AMZ doesn’t strip it: americanthinker dot com Do a search on the author’s name – Raymond Ibrahim. It is his most recent article. Note that he is an established and well-known author, with several books on Amazon from major publishers, which you can verify by reading his Amazon bio. The pirated edition is by a nobody with neither background nor history. I have been apprising the author of our communications. Thank you.
The seller immediately pulled their listing, and thanked me for bringing it to their attention. It is no longer available on Amazon. Good luck on any actions against the pirate/scammer.
