Allah’s Sword of Terror

Print Friendly

The first time I heard about Khalid bin al-Walid—the 7th century Muslim jihadi affectionately known in Islamic history as “The Sword of Allah”—was when I was in college researching for my MA thesis on the Battle of Yarmuk, when the Muslims, under Khalid’s generalship, defeated the Byzantines in 636, opening the way for the historic Islamic conquests.

Nearly a decade and a half later, Khalid, that jihadi par excellence, has come to personify a dichotomy for me—how the jihad is understood in the West and how it really is: officially, Western academia, media, and politicians portray it as defensive war to protect Muslim honor and territory; in reality, however, jihad is all too often little more than a byword to justify the most primitive and barbaric passions of its potential recruits and practitioners.

Based on the English language sources I perused in college, Khalid was a heroic, no-nonsense kind of jihadi—fierce but fair, stern but just.  He was the champion of the Apostasy Wars, when he slaughtered countless Arabs for trying to leave Islam after the death of Muhammad.

Modern day Muslims writing about Khalid—see for example Pakistani army lieutenant-general A.I Akram’s The Sword of Allah—had naught but praise for him, the scourge of infidels and apostates.

But as years went by, I came across more arcane and Arabic sources telling of the “darker side” of The Sword—a depraved and sadistic side.

For example, only recently I came across a video of a modern-day Egyptian Salafi explaining how Khalid raped Layla, the wife of Malik bin Nuwayra—but only after he severed her husband’s head, lit it on fire, and cooked his dinner on it.

Khalid was recalled and questioned by the caliph—not because he killed and dined on an apostate’s head and “married” his wife, but because some believed that Malik was still Muslim, not an apostate to be treated so, and that Khalid killed him on the accusation of apostasy only as a pretext to take possession of his wife, whose beauty was renowned.

In the words of Ibn Kathir’s authoritative historical tome, The Beginning and the End (al-bidaya we al-nihaya), “And he [Khalid] ordered his [Malik’s] head and he combined it with two stones and cooked a pot over them.  And Khalid ate from it that night to terrify the apostate Arab tribes and others.  And it was said that Malik’s hair created such a blaze that the meat was so thoroughly cooked.”

More eye-opening is the way the videotaped Egyptian cleric recounts this whole narrative with awe and admiration—boasting, for example, how that when Khalid entered the caliph’s tent for questioning he was “wearing armor all soaked and rusted from blood [of his enemies], with arrows sticking out of his turban.”

As for the near-cannibalistic meal that the Sword of Allah ate, the cleric complained that “People wonder how our lord Khalid could have eaten from such meat?  Oh yes—he ate from it! Our lord Khalid had a very strong character, a great appetite, and everything!  All to terrorize the desert Arabs [apostates].  The matter requires determination; these matters require strength—terrorism.”

Of course, all this accords with the Koran’s many commands to “strike terror” into the hearts of disbelievers, be they born infidels or apostates (see Koran 3:151, 8:12, 8:60).

Now, let us fast-forward to the modern era’s “Arab Spring” and U.S. support for “freedom-fighters” trying to “liberate” Syria (the official, Western narrative of the jihad), and let us reflect on its true nature—from a jihadi (ironically named “Khalid”) biting into the heart of a soldier (and thus striking terror into the hearts of Assad’s “apostate” regime) to Islamic clerics justifying rape and prostitution to gratify the many swords of Allah.

And at last, let us understand that the heartbeat of the jihad—sex, violence, and rapine—has scarcely changed in nearly fourteen centuries.

Another great exposure of early Islam. How long before the political elites and mainstream media begin to reflect the truth? Since 9/11,millions of Westerners have been finding out the truth about Islam. Now we just await this to be reflected politically. To the question “who are the best muslims”? The question is answered in this hadith:”Muhammad’s contemporaries were the best Muslims; after three generations, the Muslims will be mainly treacherous and untrustworthy… “(Sahih Bukhari, 5.57.2, 3)

And Muhammad’s contemporaries were of course…the “companions” or Salafis, ironically held in contempt by “moderate” muslims. A point made brilliantly here by Sam Shamoun, (25 minutes onwards):

Raymond, I really appreciate all your posts and read them with great care. May I make a small suggestion which could greatly help those of us who do not have the encyclopaedic knowledge of some of the topics that you have. When you are quoting from Quran, Hadith, biography of the Prophet or other works, could you please include the reference of the quote either in the body of the work or as a footnote. this would be so helpful.

  • dia61

    Yes, and that’s the point.
The dogma hasn’t changed in 1400 years and it’s not going to change. Jihad is not a defensive action. Jihad is an aggressive action. It is so difficult, it seems ,for so many people, to understand the difference. You are just going to have to keep repeating yourself, Raymond, until everybody’s on the same page. In the meantime, thank you.

    • reijo

What you say is quite true. But mainstream western consumers (by and large) just don’t want to know the reality of political islam and jihad.
It’s just too distasteful an politically incorrect.

      • dia61

Yes, and then there’s the money issue. (Yes, I said it, ‘cuz I do not have an ounce of “pc” left in my body.)
Many folks are on the receiving end of the big bucks of petrol dollars.
It takes a mighty strong person to refuse cold, hard cash, especially in light our fabulous economy. Rudy Giuliani refused bin Talal’s blood money right after 9/11. Rudy was a strong person. What he did was exceptional,……absolutely not the norm. Ounce they buy ya, they own ya. It’s a part of their worldview.

On FoxNews Sunday,it was reported the veteran MH370 muslim pilot attended the trial of a radical muslim who was found guilty and sentenced to FIve Years in Malasian jail. From courtroom, the muslim pilot went directly to airport to fly the MH370 that is now missing. Is this a coincidence? Whether or not, it (coincidence) isn’t being reported because it’s too politically incorrect regarding Islam. Note; Pilot is innocent until found quilty.

  • reijo

Oh? And who is this radical muslim?

    • Berry Havasupai

That’s the kettle calling the pot black. NO ONE ON EARTH has done more damage to humanity then so-called Christians. No one in America has done more acts of terrorism to the people of this land then white so-called Christians. I say so-called because you people definitely aren’t following the teachings of Christ, may God’s peace and blessings be upon him. The worst plague that has ever hit American soil is radical Christianity. I’m half Native American and half African American and my people on both sides have never encountered a more ignorant and evil creature than the radical Christian. And that’s a fact based on your historians.

      • Jakiri

NO ONE ON EARTH has done more damage to humanity than so-called Christians. Berry, you are treading on very dangerous territory there. Lets just say that the people who landed in America, are categorically unable to demonstrate Jesus condoning their actions. They may have argued that they were’Bringing Christianity to the heathens’, but I can find no argument from Jesus that the ‘heathens’ should be treated any differently or enslaved. So the responsibility lies with them.

On the other hand. What do you know about the Arab slave trade? Muslims, with the justification of the Quran, the example of the Sunnah and the words of the hadith, enslaving non-Muslim Africans (‘Zanj’). The religious permissibility of sexual gratification from the female slaves and the rest of the conduct meted out to them.

Do you know about the military spread and religious sanctification of the Muslim campaigns across Central and East Asia, from Afghanistan, Hindu Kush (meaning ‘Hindu slaughter’), Sindh, Punjab, Gujarat and India, down to Malaysia, Indonesia and the Southern Philipines. They were all doing it? Maybe, but some were doing it with religious blessing.

I feel a bit of a fool in that, I never really thought to examine (and examine the sources of) how Mohammedism spread through Asia until very recently. I heard a bit about the Mughals, but not much before or after. Anyway. If you don’t know, there’s something to look forward to.

        • Berry Havasupai

READ YOUR HISTORY. Let me put it in its proper text. In the last 2000 years the most hateful and most violent people have been and still is so-called christians. If you look and see how they have decimated native people all around the world. latin America, North America, Australia, and that’s just to name a few. How many women did the Church kill because the dumb ass leaders said that those Women was witches. The gray wolf almost went extinct because German christians was killing them because they believe they were werewolves. That’s not even talking about sense 2006 over 50,000 people have died in Mexico’s fake ass war on drugs, by the hands of the Christian terrorists the drug lords. Who would kill you if you told them that they didn’t love Jesus Christ( May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon Jesus.Ameen) and I can go on and on naming off all the crimes and acts of terrorism that so-called christians have done and are still doing. The role that the Holy Catholic Church played in the holocaust. And please don’t say anything stupid like Catholics aren’t Christians. Because the original Christian was part of the holy Roman church until one of the kings of England wanted to get a divorce and the Holy Roman Church would not let him, so he said fuck that I’ll start my own thing Thus that’s how we have protestants today. To deny the historical facts about all the atrocities that so-called Christians up done and are still doing, would make you an absolute fool and liar.

        • Berry Havasupai

I will give you this much, you’re a interesting person. I mean that in a complementary way. Your obviously passionate about what you believe in. And you won’t back down from what you believe to be the truth. Even though your wrong I must still respect your zeal. If you’re a Christian please be a true and good Christian. And if you are Jewish please be a true and good Jew. The world needs more good people in it no matter what their faith is. At the end of the day, to each his own. (
          Sura #109 | Makkah

          • Jakiri

Ah. Didn’t see this post. Must’ve been written after I have checked. Maybe this is the best we achieve from this conversation.

My family is from the Caribbean. Quite possible some ancestor(s) or other of ours were dragged on the same slave ship(s).
The lesson I learned from that though was that ‘white supremacy’ was the enemy, not ‘white people’ as such. So I’m against all forms of supremacist ideas and I challenge everything.

Living as a 2nd or 3rd class ‘citizen’ or subject, is a whim away from dying a 1st class death, or living as a slave. & creating value systems that have major areas of taboo that go unchallenged, means it’s hard to compete on, or create a level playing field.
I think conflicts of interest are inevitable, but if you’re going to make this world without (physical) conflict (between religious and philosophical positions), you’re going to have to be able to deal with your beliefs being interrogated. Same for me.

          • Berry Havasupai

The problem with debating over religion is that both parties know for a fact that they are right. Believe me I have know bad feeling for you or anyone else. To tell the truth I actually look forward to your post. And I’m truly am sorry for my harshness. But it is a very sensitive issue for me. As a child I live in Oklahoma and I seen and felt first hand what hate and bigotry does to ones self-esteem and well-being. I have been called boy and nigger so much that it doesn’t even make me mad anymore. I had to fight every day, not even the racist teachers would help me. I was a slow in learning when I was a child because I was getting bet everyday at home and my family wouldn’t teach me. So I had to learn how to read and write on my on. When I told one of the racist teachers that I was being bet so I can get help, she told my family that I was making up lies against them. I only told her because she ask me and told me she can get me help. Because I was a slow learner the school said that I was mentally retarded. I hate that word but I’m only quoting them. My point is I became a very dangerous person. Because I learnt they people will show you respect if they fear you. I moved to Detroit and that’s when I received my Final education on being a dangerous and feared person. I was a criminal so I’ve never been to prison. It is Islam that thought me how to a man, how to care about others. That no money is better than illegal

          • Jakiri

Interesting. There are some differences, but several similarities between us. Would take longer than I have on this occasion to explain.

I respect the struggle and hardship you have overcome and am glad that you have come out of it with empathy for people. No way of knowing, if you hadn’t had the one (struggle), whether you would have got the other (empathy).

I try to nurture it within myself and I think that I succeed, though nobody is perfect. The rest for another time, GSL- God spare life. (Something my old gran’ would say).

          • Jakiri

Thanks for the apology, for the complement and sorry for what happened to your daughter. That’s not right.

I appreciate that this is what you found and you have become more the man you are happy with. That’s fine. But you talk as if these attributes are only found in your faith, which is wrong.

It is unfortunate that in a way now you are a hostage to your faith. If you ever truly felt that Islam was not for you, your faith itself says that your wife would be obliged to consider your relationship as unlawful and your kids could not consider you to be a rightful guardian or protector. In fact wouldn’t it be contrary to the Shar’ia for you to be their male guardian? Not to mention, you would be labelled as an apostate and subject to punishment up to death, by any Muslim follower of Orthodox Islam.

Many people would keep it to themselves and indeed many do. I’ve met and spoken with some of them.

I on the other hand, know how to love and be kind, and still am free in my conscience and not subject to Earthly penalties like this to help ‘secure’ my belief.

          • Berry Havasupai

My friend I understand what you are saying. I don’t believe in anywhere in the world any country is killing someone for stop being Muslim. Maybe individuals my do it or even in some small village, but I can guarantee you this isn’t common practice. But that being said my wife should live me and my children should disown me if I live from what is truth and that truth is Islam

          • Berry Havasupai

If you’re family is from the Caribbean by way of Fiji or around that area, I can safely assume you’re a good and kind person. I’ve been to the Caribbean and I only have good to say about the people. Please don’t waste your time with all this anger towards anyone or anything. I don’t know you but I believe your better then that. I hope you live a long and happy life. And I hope you are blessed with much prosperity. The world is a Beautiful place, let’s enjoy it. It has been a pleasure debating with you. ✌

  • Tiktaalik2

Thank you Raymond! The evidence (attacks) and the truth (writings like yours) will stack up, slowly accumulate and TEACH us what we need to know. It can’t happen too soon – I just hope and pray it happens before it’s too late. If only we could defuse political correctness, the light from your lamp might be visible sooner! Keep up the good fight.

The Truth about ISLAM: in its own words

In the words of the prophet Muhammad.

Bukhari:V4B52N220 “Allah’s Apostle said, ‘I have been made victorious with terror. The treasures of the world were brought to me and put in my hand.”

Bukhari:V4B52N260 “The Prophet said, ‘If a Muslim discards his religion, kill him.”

Bukhari:V7B67N427 “The Prophet said, ‘If I take an oath and later find something else better than that, then I do what is better and expiate my oath.”

Islamic leaders and politicians constantly tell us in English that “Islam is a peaceful religion”, but one can’t help wondering if they would say it quite so often if they were absolutely sure it was true.

Some recorded massacres of Muslim history:

On December 30, 1066, Joseph HaNagid, the Jewish vizier of Granada, Spain, was crucified by an Arab mob that proceeded to raze the Jewish quarter of the city and slaughtered its 5,000 inhabitants. The riot was apparently incited by Muslim preachers that had angrily objected to what they saw as inordinate Jewish political power. Similarly, in 1465, Arab mobs in Fez slaughtered thousands of Jews, leaving
only 11 alive, after a Jewish deputy vizier treated a Muslim woman in “an offensive manner.” The killings touched off a wave of similar massacres throughout Morocco.
Other mass murders of Jews in Arab lands occurred in Morocco in the 8th century, where whole communities were wiped out by Muslim ruler Idris I; North Africa in the 12th century, where the Almohads either forcibly converted or decimated several communities; Libya in 1785, where Ali Burzi Pasha murdered hundreds of Jews; Algiers, where Jews were massacred in 1805, 1815 and 1830 and Marrakesh, Morocco, where more than 300 hundred Jews were murdered between 1864 and 1880.

Decrees ordering the destruction of synagogues were enacted in Egypt and Syria
(1014, 1293-4, 1301-2), Iraq (854859, 1344) and Yemen (1676). Despite the Qur’an’s purported prohibition, Jews were forced to convert to Islam or face death in Yemen (1165 and 1678), Morocco (1275, 1465 and 1790-92) and Baghdad (1333 and 1344). Some escaped, but the Jews of Arabia who remained were pretty much completely wiped out. Islamic revisionists claim they were killed because they were literally asking for it, is their apologetic rubbish propaganda.

These Islamic revisionists (Islamaniacs) claim that the Jews demanded it as per
their own law. I mean that’s like the Nazis claiming they were only accommodating the Jews demand to get warm by the ovens. Like Goebbels said, the bigger the lie, the easier it is for others to believe it.

In the violent, nearly 1,400-year relationship between Muslims and non-Muslims, Jihad and Dhimmitude were firmly established by the 8th century. Perhaps the pre-eminent Islamic scholar in history, Ibn Khaldun (d. 1406), summarized five centuries of prior Muslim jurisprudence with regard to the uniquely Islamic institution of jihad:

In the Muslim community, the holy war is a religious duty, because of the universalism of the [Muslim] mission and [the obligation to] convert everybody to Islam either by persuasion or by force… The other religious groups did not have a universal mission, and the holy war was not a religious duty for them, save only for purposes of defense… Islam is under obligation to gain power over other nations.

Between 1894-96, the Ottoman Turks massacred over 200,000 (Dhimmi) Christian
Armenians, followed by the first formal genocide of the 20th century, in 1915, at which time they slaughtered an additional 600,000 to 800,000 Armenians.
Contemporary accounts from European diplomats confirm that these brutal massacres were perpetrated in the context of a formal Jihad against the Armenians who had attempted to throw off the yoke of Dhimmitude by seeking equal rights and autonomy. Regarding the 1894-96 massacres, the Turkish-speaking interpreter of the British embassy reported:

…[The perpetrators] are guided in their general action by the prescriptions of the Sheri [Sharia] Law. That law prescribes that if the “rayah” [dhimmi] Christian attempts, by having recourse to foreign powers, to overstep the limits of privileges allowed them by their Mussulman [Muslim] masters, and free themselves from their bondage, their lives and property are to be forfeited, and are at the mercy of the Mussulmans. To the Turkish mind the Armenians had tried to overstep those limits by appealing to foreign powers, especially England. They therefore considered it their religious duty and a righteous thing to destroy and seize the lives and properties of the Armenians…”

The scholar Bat Yeor confirms this reasoning, noting that the Armenian quest for reforms invalidated their “legal status,” which involved a “contract” (i.e., with their Muslim Turkish rulers).

This …breach…restored to the umma [the Muslim community] its initial right to kill the subjugated minority [the dhimmis], [and] seize their property…

In the following chronology, note how closely Islam’s inception is associated with war. From 623 to 777, a span of 154 years, there are 83 military conflicts involving the Muslims…. Muslims tell us Islam is a religion of peace, but all historical facts seem to discredit that claim rather convincingly.

The appeal is to the darker side of human nature, and that is its evil genius.

  • Bill James On the eve of invading and conquering Christian Byzantium (637AD) General Khālid ibn al-Walīd, proclaimed that “We heard that Byzantine blood is the tastiest, and we have come to drink it.”

On 12/8/09 Egyptian Cleric Hamdan Badr put that quote “in context”

    • German

Thanks for telling us that God is gracious and forgiving, we as Christians know that. The Question is not what or how God is, but how Mohammed behaved. According to Islamic scripture he did NOT behave in the same way as God is described. This can then be reasonably seen that Mohammed did not speak for a loving and forgiving God as shown in the New Testament.

      • Berry Havasupai

Yes you talk about love and things like that but know religion has caused more hell on earth then Christianity. And if you are truthful you know what I’m saying is true. There has Never been a more just ruler the Muhammad(s.a.w.s) and if you read your history and compare him to any other ruler you will see he was and still is a great man. But your hate blinds you. You are death meaning you can’t hear the truth. Blind meaning you can’t see the truth. And dumb meaning you can’t speak the truth.

    • Jakiri

God is gracious and oft forgiving for those who believe in his ‘signs’ and obey Mohammed. For the rest- he will delight in their torment on the day of judgement. Do the words “Taste the chastisement” ring any bells?
Also “I sent mercy before anger”. Translation: God sent me (Mohammed). Do as I say or he will be angry with you and will rain fire down, or an earthquake or an explosion on top of you.
Okay God is merciful to the followers of Mohammed and hates the others.

  • The Technical Analyst

But then Catholics were a Zillion times cruel to Protestants as they burned them all in ‘Stakes’.

The author seems to be blissfully ignorant about ‘Holocaust’ against 5 million ‘Jews’ and ‘Atom Bombs’ dropped on innocent women and children in Japan.

Perhaps he thinks ‘Christians’ never committed these atrocities.

Funny fellow. Don’t fool around any further.

    • German

You say that Catholics burned ALL protestants. This would mean that there are protestants left. As there obviously are your statement is incorrect. Catholics burnt heretics (not protestants), and not very many at that. Was it right? No is was not. Many people who called themselves Christians did not live very Christian lives. This is acknowledged by the Catholic Church as well as other where their members have not behaved in a Christian manner. The report above shows that Muslims do NOT find the horrible and in-human behaviour of their past heroes as anything to criticise.
Hitler who was responsible for the holocaust was an atheist, so please do not blame Christians for his behaviour. The Atom bomb was used in the war against Japan, by the way they started the war. The Japanese were not Christian either.
But the real issue with your argument is that two wrongs do NOT make a right. If Christians have done some wrong then Muslims doing something wrong is still WRONG. Anyone can see this, even those who are not experts in any religion.

you can check this link ( I think you are familiar with the Egyptian languages )
it is really important when you report an incident especially in something like that to investigate every piece of information ,
The science of telling what happened in earlier ages is delicate and requires a lot of research.

Khalid bin al-Walid was selected by Mohammed and promoted by first Caliph Abu Bakr, but then dismissed as ‘too successful’ by Caliph Omar. Khalid bin al-Walid was not an barbaric aberration, but an exemplary Muslim.

  • Berry Havasupai

There is nothing you can do to stop the spread of Islam. Muslims don’t waste time on making up lies on Jews and Christians. And they damn sure don’t do research on christians and Jews and then twist the truth. You people need to stop being cowards and at least admit openly that you hate Muslims. For 14 hundred years your kind has lied on Muslims and have fought Muslims and for 14 hundred years you have lost and Have not been able to stop the spread of Islam. Hate and lie all you want it won’t even make a dent. Even if you killed all the Muslims Allah(SWT) would make your children, wives and husbands Muslims. There was a time when I hated Islam when I was a Christian. But now I’m Muslim and I love Islam more than I love myself. And not only did I become Muslim my parents and my siblings also embraced Islam. My wife is also a convert to Islam. You can never stop it. So stop trying all you are doing is pissing yourself off and wasting your time. As for Me personally I find it entertaining I like to share these things with my children so they can see how you people really feel about us.

    • Jakiri

No need for Muslims to. Mohammed already made up lies about Jews and Christians and put it in the Quran, then was thoughtful enough to poison the well by insisting his followers believe that anyone who denies him or has an alternative faith is a companion of “Ibliss”, or “Shaytan” (I guess they are pseudonyms) ‘jealous’, ‘not using their intelligence’, ‘with diseased hearts’ etc. Share it with your children if you like.

I don’t hate you, like you don’t have to hate me to endorse a system of thought that treats skeptics like me as enemies and reduces me to a subject rather than a citizen. But try this. Apply the rules that the Quran, hadeeth and sunnah prescribe for non-Muslims, to Muslims and vice versa. If you can’t (ie if your rules and relationships are not reciprocal, but rather based on hostility & earthly power, then you do not have a religion (understood as a universal set of principles that are applicable equally to all), rather a cult, (a system of attitudes and adulation that hinges on one central individual and is incoherent without them).

      • Berry Havasupai

You obviously haven’t read the rules of Islam on how to treat Christians And Jews. When it talks about kill the non-believers it was talking about a pagan tribes that the Muslims was at war with. And it says that because they had a peace treaty with the Muslims and the pagans broke the agreement and started killing Muslims. So then that verse was revealed. Think about it logically it doesn’t make sense to believe that it meant kill all non-believers. Because at that time all Muslims and all new Muslims to come where converts. If they were going around killing everyone that’s wasn’t Muslim there will be no Muslims today because over time the early Muslims would have died out. The problem is people say things and read things without using any common sense and logic. That being said this is what it says about Jewish people and Christians.( Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians — whoever believes in God and the Last Day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord. And there will be no fear for them, nor shall they grieve” (2:62, 5:69, and many other verses).

(“…and nearest among them in love to the believers will you find those who say, ‘We are Christians,’ because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant” (5:82). No were in the Qu’ran does it say kill Jews and Christians. Again when it says kill the non-believers it is talking about PAGAN TRIBES that they were at war with. And anyone who says otherwise Muslim or non-Muslim don’t know what the hell they are talking about. By the way on a Sidenote the Qu’ran doesn’t say infidels because the word infidel Origin Expand

(in Christian use) an unbeliever, especially a Muslim. that's from the Dictionary. When it says infidel in the Koran it's a very bad translation of the Qu'ran. The world world would be a better place if people took the time out and fact check and took the time out to understand stand people and things. And stop believing everything they hear on TV and the radio. The world has enough hate in it. Let's try something radical, let's work on being tolerant, patient and understanding with our fellow brothers and sisters in humanity.

        • Jakiri

I like the way that you reverted to ‘logic’ to put that verse into context. I thought the signs were supposed to be clear. Incidentally,
do you believe in the ‘abrogation’, that “god can substitute whatever (of the message) he so wills and replace it.”?

Do you believe in the hadiths and agree with the accuracy of
the occurrences recorded in the Sunnah? If not, how do you reconcile that with the injunction from the Koran to take Mohammed as a “Most wonderful pattern of conduct” (ie as an example to follow). Why would you ignore the examples of his conduct, beliefs and behaviour? Do you believe the ‘authenticity of Bukhari and
Muslim’ (to take two examples) and the others?

For example the passage that you mentioned, Christians “will not grieve”, but Mohammed says that the trinity is blasphemous, the bible (Injeel) has been hidden and the Torah has been adulterated, so in what way are the Christians that Mohammed describes who, “will not grieve”, like the Christians of today?

He also says that for calling Jesus the ‘son of god’ (and the Jews for calling someone named ‘Uzair’, the son of god) they are akin to ‘Mushrikeen’, guilty of ‘associating partners with god’, emulating the idolatry of old and earning for Christians/Jews the ‘curse of Allah’. Indeed it is a “lie against god” of which there is “no greater sin”.

This is reinforced by several of the hadiths that state that
“following laws made by men (whether they be politicians priests or rabbis), is the same as worshipping them”.

Conversely, the Quran in many places sets out the criterion
for ‘belief’, not least belief in the prophethood of Mohammed, the laws and rules he gave (on god’s behalf) and the condition of obeying him. None of which qualify Jews or Christians.

Sura’s 2 & 3 as far as I know were early Medinan (Yatthrib) surahs which were recited at a time when Mohammed’s control over the
city was not fully secure and he was trying to sound conciliatory, reaching out to try to convince the Jews and Christians to come over to his new faith. If you follow the Sunnah, then you know how that turned out, with the destruction of the Banu Qurayyza and the Banu Nadir.

No it doesn’t make sense to kill all non-believers. Better to control them, degrade and exploit them with the Jizya, for all they are
worth. But it does make sense to have a pretext to kill them, if they ever become a threat to your power, and such an action ever becomes opportune for the benefit of your religion-cum-special interest group.

Correct, the Quran does not say ‘infidel’. It says ‘Kuffaar’ and as I have set out above as far as I am concerned, the people of the book is simply a sub-category of ‘Kuffaar’.

But don’t listen to me, in this conversation (according to your Koran which you don’t have the option to disagree with) there are simply
Mohammed (oh I’m sorry.. I meant ‘Allah’) and Ibliss speaking. You know us ignorant kuffaar- if only we but used our ‘intelligence’ eh, or if only our hearts weren’t so diseased.

Good for you, who found a new faith, but sorry to tell you that in the eyes of your new faith, you are expendable appendage. Every action of yours can be turned and denounced (from the other side of the Quran) and used to deem you a Manufiq (hypocrite)- Your fate would then be subject to the ruling of the ulema and each individual Muslim. Shape up or ship out. Or worse to be considered as a (Mushrik) following the laws of those other than god or (Murtaad) apostate.

Your brothers and sisters in humanity are only useful as far
as they are under the rule of god’s law, if your tolerance, patience and understanding at any point threatens to undermine the power base of Islam, you (or your particular misguided Muslim community) will find yourself condemned as a ‘Manufiq’ and swept aside quick enough to make your head spin.

But good luck to you and your radical innovation of the faith.

P.S- If that was an attempt at ‘Taqiyya’, then you need to take a class or something.

          • Berry Havasupai

I don’t know what Century you think we are in, These things you talk about really have no relevance today. If this is your desperate attempt to make some kind of foolish point to me you are wasting your time. I would take the time out to explain somethings to you, but you can’t teach a person that thinks they know everything. As one of the great Scholars in Islam have said ( I have never won an argument against an ignorant person) as for the word Kafir. It means a person who rejects or do not believe in Islam. Every Christian I know agrees that they are Kafir once I explain to them what the word means. I would love to have an intelligent dialogue with at least one person on this forum. But unfortunately I have only came across angry, hateful and weird people. When you waste your time looking for fault in something and spending your energy trying so desperately to prove something or someone wrong, that’s called a low self-esteem. I think you protests to much. I hope you find peace in your life and let go all of the hate, because at the end of the day we truly don’t care what you think or how you feel. This is only entertainment for me. When it comes down to it I love Islam more than I love myself. And nothing or no one will change that. Especially some hateful person oneline. ✌️

          • Jakiri

Please. Try (if you are able) to play the ball, not the

What century do I think I am living in? So you think Jizya
is irrelevant even though it is in the Koran as one of the (chronologically) last parts of the book?

You have provided some points, which I have answered and put forward my take on the sources, with some questions to you and points of my own (and my methodology), none of which you have chosen to acknowledge. But in conversations you also learn something of the person you are speaking to and something about what they believe. Ignorant? Subjective. Kafir has many other aspects to it that Mohammed mentions in the Koran- ignorance (being one of them), arrogance, untrustworthiness being a few others. Please correct me if I am remembering incorrectly. Did you tell them the full meaning of Kafir, or is that just between you and the ‘mumin’?

Your question alludes to a fundamental difference I have
with Mohammed. That is the difference between ‘knowledge’ and ‘belief’. Scientific knowledge builds upon itself, even as scepticism is encouraged. Knowledge is something that can be tested and measured. Sure, a person could refute the
theory of gravity and use it as the basis for the propogation of a new society and power structure, but unfortunately they would come across others who wedded to the theory of gravity would seek to disprove this reversion through

If it came to blows, I would venture that the ‘gravitists’
would quite conclusively prove the existence and dimensions of gravity- by using it to guide mortar bombs unrelentingly on the ‘non-gravitist’ opposition. These are two ways in which scientific knowledge is proven and the reason why we do not revert back to 7th century (or 1st century) knowledge, once a sufficient body of scientific knowledge is created, tested
            and preserved.

Belief however is different. It is never confirmed and for a
believer to demand confirmation can be seen as a lack of faith, or blasphemous. So belief is not bound by the same pattern of theory, interrogation, modification and cumulative development as natural and social sciences. At any point one set of beliefs is the conjecture of an individual (or a group of
individuals). God does not do interviews, so ‘Islam’ is defined by Mohammed.
Any thought and Ijtihad since then is simply an attempt to determine Mohammed’s perogative. A process that for many became redundant about 1000 years ago or more (because the major issues were already decided).

For this reason, your question would be relevant to the
cumulative knowledge/theory set of science, but in regard to belief is inappropriate- as in religion the advancement of time, can just as easily indicate corruption and the encroachment of ‘cultural’, ‘societal’ or ‘external’ imperfections, contrary to the ‘will of god’.

Mohammed conflated these two terms, calling belief, knowledge and later Muslims have compounded the error (as I see it) with such things as so-called Quranic or Hadith ‘sciences’ and in teaching their (subjective)
religion to children as an (objective) truth.

You think that I think I know everything. Fair enough,
but please don’t put your words into my mouth.

I don’t look for faults, but simply work through the implications and explications of a value system. I have not treated
Mohammedism (or ‘Islam’ as you would call it) to any greater scrutiny than I have with any other philosophical or political idea-collection I have come across. It has simply been the one, most widely adopted, to throw up so many anomalies, contradictions, perverse incentives and with the most safeguards to prevent objective reasoning from penetrating, while reserving the right for itself to criticise others,
pretexts for conflict and project its dominance, dismissing or co-opting any alternative idea-collections, or indeed the people who adhere to them. “Looking for faults” as you call it, I would prefer to call it ‘intellectual due diligence’.

What are your thoughts on Apostasy and the “dawa” of other faiths to Muslims?

Please justify, if you can, your statement that anything I
have said has been in any way hateful.

Angry? Weird? Low self-esteem? Unintelligent dialogue? On
your personal opinions of me (from a few paragraphs of dialogue) you are free to tell yourself whatever you need to and whatever you think is right.

What’s wrong with you? Jizya is a tax that none Muslims pay doing the time when the Muslims had a khalifa. We haven’t had a Khalifa in 100 years. So yes it’s not a relevant issue or topic in today’s times. So like I said what Century do you think we live in. But that being said everyone on earth is legally required to pay some form of taxes to there ruling government. Man you refuse to have an intelligent conversation. And I find it very sad that you so desperately need to prove your point to someone you don’t even know. On a side note I don’t respond to your entire post because I don’t waste my time reading it, that being said I can’t reason with a Ignorant person, and so far you have been the most angry, annoying, ignorant, full of so much hate and loneliness, person I have ever came across on these forums. Remember ( NO GREATER FOOL THAN THE FOOL WHO THINKS HE KNOWS, WHEN HE KNOWS NOT)

          • Jakiri

Anyone reading this would see me making reasoned points, responding to your entire argument, you ignoring all but a tiny few of mine, making judgements and insults without even reading my argument (or any knowledge of me), like you’re talking to yourself. But you think that makes ME look desperate, hateful and ignorant. :)

I’ll give u the condensed version then- Many Muslim majority
countries have laws (apostasy and blasphemy), legal discrimination against the religious practice non-Muslims, actively preventing Muslims leaving the faith, or from hearing the ideas of others (faiths and philosophies) that might challenge Mohammedism (‘Islam’). These rules come straight from Mohammed’s mouth (according to the Koran/hadith), and the actions of the caliphs (Abu-Bakr onwards), as in the ‘Ridda wars’. That does not show any confidence in the strength of ‘Islamic’ thought. Your premise “You can’t stop Islam” is weak. I think it gets a pass right now, because most non-Muslims have no idea what it says and most Muslims are protected from the challenge of any other ideas until they are thoroughly indoctrinated and loyal to the (political) cause. But many are striving to make a level playing field of ideas, so this is not always the case.

Religion (belief) and science (knowledge) are not the same.
The Jizya will always be relevant because it is from the mouth of Mohammed. Religious practice is not bound by the past practitioners, (that means mixing it with ‘tradition’ & ‘culture’). The founder, Mohammed is the most relevant arbiter of what is the ‘permissible’ practices of the faith.

And ‘bruv’ this is a tiny part of my day. Got plenty else to
do, but I think fast and type fast.

All the best to you & your family (unless it means the worst to me & mine, of course).

Anyone reading this will understand that you seem to have a lot of hate in your heart for Muslims it appears that it is very important that you to get your point across it’s not that serious. I took the time out to read your arguments and I must admit that a lot of it just simply doesn’t make sense but that being said I wish for you to have a safe and happy life. That being said to you and anyone else who hates Muslims your hatred does not matter Islam will continue to grow and grow. As for myself and my family and those who I associate myself with we will always be strong and proud Muslims Who will never fear the blame of the blamers. And if I must face persecution or even death for my belief in Islam it is a great honor to do so. The Prophet Mohammed and all of the Prophets( May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon all of them) are the best of mankind, and anyone who disrespects them or speaks of a them in bad way is a disrespectful and ignorant person. The enemy of Allah, He’s Prophets and his Angels are the enemy of the Believers. If that wasn’t your intention to be disrespectful then I do apologize. I would advise you or anyone else who’s reading this, if you want to talk about the Qu’ran it would be best if you learn how to read it. And the only way to do that is to learn Quranic Arabic. Because anything else is not the Qu’ran but just a translation of the Qu’ran and most of the the translated Qu’rans out there are bad translations. If you speak any other language other than English you will no that there are many words that you just simply cannot translate, and other words when you translate them doesn’t make sense in a sentence or when you translate them it takes away from the meaning. So again you are not reading the Qu’ran you are reading a translation of the Qu’ran. And the Koran is one of the worst translations out there. That’s why when that fake fool preacher down South wanted to burn all the Korans, I was saying that’s great he’ll be doing us a favor. That horrible translation shouldn’t even be in circulation. Anyway until you follow the necessary steps to learn how to read Qu’ranic Arabic you simply don’t know what you are talking about. And the same goes with the Hadith.

          • Jakiri

Hey my man. You keep saying that I show hate in my heart for Muslims, but even though I’ve I asked you a several times, you never say what it is I have said that shows hate. So I will have to write that off as an unfounded, unfair allegation.

You also haven’t answered a single one of my questions- I hope you don’t find it rude, but in order to know what it is you believe, I have to keep asking.

Do you believe in Abrogation? Do you subscribe to one of the main Madhabs? Do you think that Mohammed is the finest example of conduct for mankind and if so, how do you prioritize the sources (for ‘Islamic’ fiqh) from the Sunna, hadiths, qisas, companions of Mohammed, later members of the ‘ulema’?

Do you accept the have an orthodox Sunni understanding of the ‘authenticity’ of the hadiths?

I can’t say that I’m fluent in ancient Arabic, but let me put it another way, would you tell a ‘believer’ that is not fluent, that he might have misunderstood and his reason for believing might also be misconceived? I seriously don’t think that you would. It’s all good, as long as you good with it.

I understand some limited Koranic Arabic words, but I would never present myself as an expert. That being said, did you understand Biblical Aramaic, while you were a ‘Christian’ and if not, how can you claim to have understood that faith? It’s not a good argument. I would say, rather a distraction.

I wrote the word Koran, but the book I am actually reading from is entitled ‘Qur’an’. Several of them have explanations and one in particular has the original Arabic, transliteration into the ‘Roman’ text and a translation into English. i have read several Qurans.

So god sent a messenger to all the people that came before in their own language (which is claimed in the Koran/quran, but he stopped at Mohammed and did not bother to create a translation that perfectly conveys the meaning? Shame for all those so-called Muslims that don’t understand Ancient Arabic. They might be following out of a misunderstanding…. or a deceitful translation.

I wasn’t trying to falsely accuse you of being hateful, but if you read some of your early writings they seem to be filled with hate or at the least some serious contentment towards Islam. I will concede and say that I was wrong, only because you say it’s not hate, and from what I get from you, is that your a real man, and real men don’t lie to the best of their abilities. So please forgive me if I have wronged you. Yes I tell all Muslims in order to have a proper understanding of Islam they need to learn Qu’ranic Aribic. You don’t need it to understand that there is only one God and He(SWT) doesn’t have any family members, and He(SWT) doesn’t die or rest, or have any rivals. That you don’t need a middle man to go through to ask Him(SWT) for something. That He(SWT) has no need for us but we completely rely on Him(SWT) for everything. And it is only because of He’s(SWT) Mercy that we enter Paradise and it is only because of our own evil deeds that we enter Hellfire. You don’t need to read Qu’ranic Arabic to understand that He(SWT) sent a Messenger and that messenger is Prophet Mohammed(S.A.W) the last of the Messengers(A.S.W) and that The last Messenger(S.A.W) do to the first Prophet((A.S.W) our Farher Adam(S.A.W) all was calling to the oneness of Allah(SWT) it’s just that over time evil and ignorant men charged to massage to something else. This is basic anyone can understand this. But if you want to start say more deeper things like explaining Islam one needs to know what they are saying. Second. You need to understand that the Qu’ran was given in stages over a period of years as and example first Allah(SWT) told the Muslims not to come to the prayer intoxicated, but over time once thy became stronger Muslims and their faith was stronger He(SWT) later told them not to get intoxicated at all, which cancels (Abrogated) the previous commitment.See you need to understand the way the Qu’ran is written isn’t the order it was revealed in. They write it they way because when the Prophet(S.A.W) was on His death bed the Angel Gabriel(A.S.W) came to Him(S.A.W) and told Him(S.A.W) to recite the Qu’ran, and the order the Qu’ran is in today is the order He(S.A.W) recited it in on He’s death bed. So one must know the order the Qu’ran was revealed in and they must know early Islamic History to understand stand what it means when it says things let kill the Kufir where ever you find them. But most Muslims don’t even know that because unfortunately we are plagued with ignorance. May Allah(SWT) help us.Ahmeen. So to answer your question yes I believe in Abrogated. The difference in Islam from let’s say Christianity is A- we know we are reading only a translation of the Qu’ran. B- we have Scholars that have dedicated their lives to understanding the Qu’ran and the Sunnah, and we can learn from them. As and example are the common people learning from the Pope how to be a Catholic in the Bible original language? Is the Pope having weekly or even Monthly classes or even yearly clases? Or is the head of the Church of England teaching classes in the Bible original Language and having a person sitting next to them translating word for to the people so they can understand everyday, weekly, monthly or even yearly to the people? NO. Is there any Christian Scholar teaching or reading from the Bible in it original language and then translating it to the people? I use those two examples because most People Christianity Origins come from either Roman our the UK. C- anyone can learn Qu’ranic Arabic for free, and if a Muslim doesn’t know Qu’ranic Arabic they have a trusted teacher or friend who does. Not only do you need to know Qu’ranic Arabic you also need to know real Islamic history. No I don’t only follow one Madhab, because It’s better to do research and find the strongest evidence. The Prophet Muhammad(S.A.W) and all the Prophets(A.S.W) are the best of Humanity and after them are their righteous Companies. No I’m not a sufi, Shia, or any of those other groups. I’m a Muslim who follows Islam the way the Prophet(S.A.W) did and the way He’s Companies(R.A.A)understood it. And yes I follow the righteous predecessors. If you want to know what kind of Muslim I and go to YouTube and look up Abu Mujahid Fareed Abdullah. He my personal teacher. This Brother is from the Bahama’s. I say that because you’ll be amazed when he speaks Arabic. And yes he explains everything he says in Arabic to English. I wish you will. Peace

  • Berry Havasupai

To be clear the word Islam does not mean peace. Yes it comes from the word Salaam, but the Islamic meaning of the word means to submit and obey Allah(SWT). Some Muslims like to say it means peace because they foolishly think that those people who hate Islam will have a different view of Islam. But all Muslims should understand any hatred they show you they have far more in their hearts. My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam do not let these hateful people cause you distress. Remember you are right and they are wrong. Be proud of who you are and do not water down your religion to make these people happy. To be a Muslim is a great honor, and never ever allow ignorant and hateful people make you fill shy or

  • Yasir Abbasi

Maalik bin Nuwaira had signed a pact with liar female-prophet Sajjah and it was expected that he will create problems for Muslims when he after getting opportunity while Muslims were fighting for survival at that time after large-scale rebellion of Arab tribes. It was fair enough to kill that person, who also didn’t recognized the Caliphate of Abu Bakr openly, in order to protect Muslims in future.
