Chase Davis of Full Proof Theology recently interviewed me in the following video. Beneath it is the official summary, takeaway points, and index.
Summary
In this episode, Chase Davis interviews Raymond Ibrahim, author of ‘Defenders of the West.’ They discuss topics such as Raymond’s lifting routine, the misunderstandings about the Crusades, the motivations of Muslim migrants, and the challenges faced by Christians in the West. Raymond emphasizes the importance of understanding the historical context of the Crusades and the ongoing conflict between Islam and Christianity. He also highlights the need for Christians to assert their faith and heritage in the face of secularism and cultural relativism. Despite the challenges, Raymond sees hope in the resilience of Eastern European nations and the potential for change through grassroots movements.
Takeaways
Understanding the historical context of the Crusades is crucial to dispelling misconceptions and appreciating the motivations of the Crusaders. The ongoing conflict between Islam and Christianity is rooted in centuries of violence and conquest, and it is important to acknowledge the historical realities. Western societies have become disconnected from their Christian heritage, which has led to a lack of understanding and a reluctance to defend their faith and values. The motivations of Muslim migrants vary, but it is important to recognize that there are both economic and ideological factors at play. There is hope for the future through grassroots movements and a renewed commitment to Christian principles and values.

I wonder if anyone has noticed that anyone who defends themself against moslem jihads are always bashed and there are MANY useful idiots who willingly take up that bashing. We see that with the Crusades of old and even today with the 7 Oct attack.

I taught a Citizenship test prep course to mostly Syrian refugees, about 3/4 were Muslim and the rest “Christian”, Chaldean Orthodox, I believe. There was one Ethiopian lady. I found them to be very receptive to our concepts of equality and liberty, and especially the rule of law and the peaceful transfer of power, mostly unknown concepts in their culture. They were ALL horrified at the teaching of CRT, “wokeness,” and other such nonsense, so I encouraged them to show up at the School Board meetings, I briefed them on how it worked, the importance of being civil but at the same time stand up for their principles. I’m here to tell you, they set those nutty libs straight, and they didn’t back down, and they couldn’t be shamed, embarrassed, or intimidated into silence. I know that they are an ally in the stand against nutjob post-modernists and the teachers union.💪
