Here again we see why Western "elites," including the highest echelons of the U.S. military, are clueless and incapable of acknowledging — much less responding to — Islam:

Modern sexism is rooted in the Bible, U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, according to a Pentagon-approved seminar. In a presentation prepared by the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI), a Department of Defense joint services school based in Florida, the Bible, U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, along with Great Man theory, are to blame for “historical influences that allow sexism to continue,” The Daily Caller reported. “Quotes from the Bible can be misinterpreted as having a sexist influence when brought out of context and not fully understood,” the course says. “In 1776, ‘We the people…’ only included white men: Slaves and women were not included until later in history.” The course also cites the Declaration of Independence as a historical cause of sexism for referring to only “all men” being created equal. “While there is no DoD Policy that requires persons to take these online courses,” the spokesman told The Daily Caller, 2,075 Department of Defense personnel have taken the “Sexism” course since 2011. Meanwhile, to even hint that Islam's core texts promote sexism — if not downright misogny — can get one fired. Yet the Koran declares that women are inferior to men, that men have authority over them and are permitted to beat them, that polygamy is permissible — each man can have four wives — that females only inherit half of males' inheritance, that female testimony in an Islamic court of law is equivalent to half a man's. And every day, in every Muslim country, every woman experiences these very real, "non-abstract" distinctions. Islamic prophet Muhammad himself likened females to dogs and other animals — "for all are ridden" — and said that women are deficient in intelligence and make up the majority of hell's denizens. Yet, it's the Bible, U.S. Constitution, and Declaration of Independence that women need fear, says the Pentagon.

A Muslim mob set fire to a church in a Christian village in Nigeria’s northern Kano State on April 1. Muslims were searching for a young man who had renounced Islam and re-converted to Christianity; they were looking to kill him. They also attacked Christian villagers with machetes and torched the home of a pastor, killing one of his daughters.

The young man, Yahaya Joshua, had converted to Islam but later chose to return to Christianity — making him an apostate from Islam worthy of the death penalty. Knowing that his life was forfeit, he fled to the Christian village in search of safety.

According to General Dikko, a local official, “The church and all the properties were burnt down in the presence of the Christian community despite all pleadings for them to stop the destruction. The arsonists gathered cornstalks and put them inside the church in order to cause greater damage.”

The general further said that the Christian community refused to resort to violence in their attempts to prevent the mob from setting the church on fire. This further inflamed the mob, causing them to set fire to the pastor’s house as well. “As a result of the fire,” said Dikko, “one of the pastor’s daughters died of suffocation and most of the house destroyed.”

Appealing to government authorities for protection, General Dikko concluded by saying: “We have the right to belong to any religion of our choice and live anywhere in this country. We call on the authorities at all levels to rise up to their responsibilities of protecting lives and properties of every citizen in this country.”

Islamic rebels in Syria firedrockets at a Christian neighborhood in Aleppo, the nation’s largest city, on the night of April 10-11. As efforts to bring about a ceasefire in Aleppo collapsed, Christians in the city reported that the Syrian regime might be preparing to pull back, leaving the city vulnerable to the forces of the Islamic State.

The attack left massive destruction in the eastern section of the Sulaymaniyah district of Aleppo, which is predominantly Assyrian and Armenian. By now, approximately 40 people, mostly Assyrians — including women and children — have been killed. Among those killed was Micheal Abaji, 53, who was the supervisor of the St. Elias Assyrian Catholic Monastery for the elderly in Aleppo.

Shells also targeted the Aziziyah neighborhood near the Ata'a Square, next to the Assyrian Catholic Cathedral, injuring three civilians.

“Our Easter feast has turned to grief,” a woman religious in Aleppo said: “Some people woke up to find themselves without a home and others did not see the life died under the rubble because they were victims of violence.”

Five Muslim men gang-raped and beat the teenage daughter of a Christian pastor in Uganda. This was done in "retaliation" to the pastor's refusal to stop Christian worship services in a Muslim-majority region.

The girl (name withheld for security reasons) was approaching the New Hope Church building, where her father serves as pastor, around 7:30 p.m. on March 28 when she was abducted and taken to nearby bushes by the rapists.

In the 17-year-old girl's own words:

The five Muslims took hold of me, and they raped me there. I tried to scream, but they threatened to kill me. One of them said, "Your father should stop this prayer meeting of trying to change Muslims to become Christians and close the church building – we have warned him several times.”

The suspects fled when church members arrived for an all-night prayer vigil. They rushed her to a local medical clinic, where she is being treated for serious injuries and remains traumatized. According to her father, the pastor, “The girl still has problems communicating. She just says a few words and then keeps quiet. She needs trauma counseling.”

Earlier, the father had received messages threatening him to cease holding Christian worship services. One text message said, "Be you informed that we do not want your church in this area. If you continue worship here, then you will live to regret it."

The region where the rape took place, Budaka District, is about 65 percent Muslim and has been the site of other attacks on Christians. Muslims make up only 11.5 percent of Uganda's total population, which is 85 percent Christian.
